The viewpoint goes something like this. There are things in our life that we can control. There are things in our life that we can’t control. What we can control in either situation is how we perceive the situation. Is it good or bad? Postive or negative?
I think a lot of our perception of what we deem a bad situation stems way back to when we were children. So many of us have or had authoritarian parents who used a strict discipline system for child-rearing that focused more on the negative than the positive.
When we did something great, we probably received some kudos, kisses and “ad-a-boys.” However, that positive reinforcement didn’t last nearly as long as the one-hour lecture on why we should have received a better grade.
I don’t know, maybe your house was different. The point is this. We were geared toward thinking that mistakes were bad. In fact, mistakes are imperative for growth. When we make a mistake, we have the opportunity to learn and grow from the experience IF that’s how we choose to perceive the situation.
So, back to the attitude is 90% statement…
If life is 90% attitude, then it’s imperative to strive for a positive attitude. How can we do this? For one, look at life’s disappointments or mistakes as opportunities rather than negative things. What did you learn? What did you take with you? Where can you go with it now?
Another way to encourage a positive attitude is to quit stressing over the little things. I know this is hard to do, but you’ll find it extremely liberating if you are able to set aside the little annoyances in life such as heavy traffic or a rainy day when you’d planned an outdoor activity. Go with the flow!

Rest Well To Lower Stress
Surely we can all agree that life is more stressful than ever. For many people, stress can lead to sleepless nights.

My Look At The Stress of The Holidays
Many people think that Christmas stress is about the Christmas rush, or is experienced when you made a lot of preparation for the Yuletide Season, like the food, decorations, and in choosing for the perfect presents to be given to every member of the household, or to your friends. For some of us we aren't so lucky as for our main source of stress to be what goes around the pre it christmas wreath, but a lot of other considerations. But for us doctors, Christmas stress never ends when the clock strikes twelve, and the 26th of December was marked on the calendar. For doctors the holidays last 365 days a year, or really the holiday stress follows us everywhere.
The holidays are about hope and giving life. Doctors like me are changing lives everyday, when we deal with our patients. The doctors job is to try to raise their spirits, especially when we can give them hope for recovery. Doctors do everything in their power to make clients feel better, when when recovery is near impossible, we just do our best to help them accept their situation and make them make the best out of the time they have left.
That's why all the days of the year are like Christmas, and it really does make for a lot of stress on ones person, it's a major thing when you're being part of someone's last breath. There are times, you can’t hold long by being strong in front of a dying patient, and what you can do is just to empathize, or better yet, get out of the room and keep the sorrow for yourself. That's what makes my job so stressful. It's true when I say that holiday stress can be very different when you're a doctor, because you can't run away from it, it becomes a part of everyday normal life. So this year when you're sitting under the pre lit christmas tree just relax and think it could be worse.

Stay Disciplined With Tai Chi
Tai Chi is an old martial art, one that was practiced for centuries in China as an exercise, a martial art, and a way to improve the internal flow of energy in the body. It emphasis correct form and feeling with each and every movement, which is why it is always taught to be practiced in a slow and relaxed fashion.
By involving the entire body with little to no impact, Tai Chi chuan promotes strength, flexibility, and stamina. With the entire body being taught to move as a whole, Tai Chi cultivates the link among the mind and the body, helping to strengthen one's coordination and balance. It can also assist with the joints as well, especially if an individual is very stiff in the joints.
Although it was created to be a martial art, it involves very little striking, offensive, or even defense movements. Tai Chi is a movement and breathing art that involves all of the major muscles and joints in the body, helping to move around internal energy, or chi. The Chinese believe that internal energy, or chi is what prevents or halts diseases.
When practicing the art through tai chi classes, the body will remain very loose and relaxed, just like it was suspended from the top of the head with the joints being the same to that of a puppet. The mind of the student is focused on each movement, focusing on the flow of energy. By being relaxed and focused, you allow the energy to flow through your entire body.
Even though you are soft and relaxed, you are still always moving. The energy that moves through your body never stops, it keeps you moving. When you move in reality, it takes little to no energy to make a movement. By using your chi, everything you do seems as if it is weightless.
In combat Tai Chi movements, the pupil uses his opponent's energy against him. The stylist is quite relaxed, as they believe that the energy from the opponent is used against them. There is little to no strength involved. When the opponent becomes weak and tires himself out - the stylist attacks. This way, there is very little energy left for any more type of movements.
Tai Chi is one of the oldest forms of martial arts, and one of the hardest to find these days. Just like other martial arts, such as Tiger Claw and Ninjutsu, it can be very hard to find a dojo that teaches the art. If you can find a dojo that teaches the art of Tai Chi, you really should not pass it up. You can learn a lot about internal energy and your spiritual well being - learning more about yourself than you ever thought possible in the process.

Holiday Stress For A Super Woman
They say that everyone has to experience the Christmas blues at least once in their lifetime. For me, I always thought that that’s impossible.Christmas is my favorite. It is the holiday that I look forward to the most. they are correct really. the Christmas blues have hit me. Christmas stress have officially arrived. I can't even bring myself to hang the flocked garland.
I cant think of what has gotten into me. I just feel so tired lately. I was planning on getting presents for all my list this week, but if I'm not in the right mood I just can't go shopping.I always try to my best to have a cheerful demeanor because I believe that when you shop happy you buy gifts that make people happy. As if things couldn't get any worse, mu husband Jim was talking to his boss who mentioned how much fun he had at last years dinner party so essentially invited himself.It must have slipped my husbands mind to tell me again yesterday.
So aside from the gifts I still have to buy and the Christmas stress I have to get out of, I have to prepare a dinner party that will top the one I gave before. I need to switch into my Superwoman mode right now. There's nothing going on. I am overly tired. I hope I’m not coming down with the flu or something.That would be hard on the children. People have come to expect the happy cheerful me at Christmas time. I don't want to bring down the party.
Ugh. I really, really don’t feel so good. Excuse me.... WHAT!? I’m officially out of my Christmas stress.
I just found out that Jim and I are having a baby! Bring on the festivities! I guess the christmas garland might get hung this year.

Just recently the Pope signed a peace agreement with Moslem leaders promising peace and respect between the two religions, and promising to respect other denominations. How practical is this peace agreement, and how long will it hold?
It is said that, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand" (Matt.12:25).
Unfortunately, this is the predicarment of the Christian religion. The credibility of the Christian religion is dwindling because of their disunity, not only among other religions, but also among the Christian community. It is not the desire of Jesus Christ for his followers to be so divided, and live in such confussion. The spirit that should prevail in the churches of the saints is one of peace, because Jesus Christ is not the author of confusion.
In as much as Jesus Christ is not the author of confusion, whu should there be so much confusion in the Christian community?
SECTARIANISM
Confusion exists among the Christian community because of sectarianism, which is the spirit or the tendencies to adhere strongly to a particular religious sect.
Sectarianism is forbidden in the first place. It is daimetrically opposite to what God intends. John said to Jesus, "Teacher, we saw a man using your name to cast out a demon and we prevented him, because he was not associating with us."Do not stop him," Jesus said. no one who does a marvelous work in my name will not forthwith speak evil of me. For he who is not against us is on our side" (Mk.9:38-40).
Sectarianism violates God's law. The Apostle Paul made an earnest plea to all Christians saying, "Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no division among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment" (1Cor.1:10).
The mere fact that one claims to be a member of a particular religious denomination, and do not mingle themselves with other believers, is division, and tantamounts to sin. The apostle Paul made this abundantly clear when he said, "Now, I say to you; each one of you say, "I belong to Paul," or I belong to Apollos," or "I belong to Cephas," or "I belong to Christ".Is Christ separated? Was it Paul who gave his life on the cross for you? Or were you baptized in obedience to Paul? (1Cor.1:12-13).
point number three; sectarianism is worldly. It means that people are not careful in regards to the things of God, but are careful in regards to the things of men. It refers to people who do not receive the things pertaining to the Spirit of God, for these things are foolisg to them, neither can they know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Carnality is the root cause of envy, strife and contention. It originates from a mind which is in conflict with God, and which is not subject to the principles of God, and can never be. According to the apostle Paul,where there exist envy, strife, and divisions among believers, is a sign of carnality, behaving like mere men? For when says, "I belong to Paul," and another, "I belong to Apollos" Are you not worldly?
How can sectarianism be avoided?
To avoid sectarianism we must all admit that, we all know in part, and we prophesy in part, but the real antidote is:-
We must all return to the true form of worship, and to do that, we must;
A. Stop refusing to accept or believe in the commandment of God, by adhering to our own tradition.
Jesus quoted the prophet Isaiah saying, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And in vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. You have let go the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men. 7:7-8).
Jesus said to them, "All too well you refuse to keep the commandment of God, so as to keep your own tradition.7:9).
A tradition according to Christian theology is, an unscriptual opinion or doctrine claimed to have been received from Jesus and his disciples, and handed down verbally to succeeding generations.
The fact is, worshiping God in accordance to man's doctrines and traditions will not put an end to sectarianism, but will rather aggravate it. Jesus said, "It is not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but it is the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. "On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord' have we not preached in your name, drive out demons in your name, and done many miracles in your name? And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness" (Matt.7:21-23).
B. Give honor to God in spirit and truth.
To the Samaritan woman Jesus said, "You worship what you do not know; We the Jews know what we are worshiping, for salvation is of the Jews. The Father is seeking at this hour, true worshipers to worship him in spirit and truth. God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth" (Jn.4:22-24).
Salvation descends from the Jews, for to them alone has God revealed his true mode of worship. With reference to true worship this is what the lord says: heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the temple that you have prepared for me? And where is my resting place? All these things my hand has made, and so all these things are mine, says the Lord. But this is the man to whom I will look, he that is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.66:1-2).
Believers in Jesus Christ are as living stones coming together at the time of worship, building up a spiritual house for the Lord. They also are a holy priesthood, to offer to God spiritual sacrifices which is acceptable to him through Jesus Christ. 2:5). This is the house and the place of rest the lord is expecting us to build for him.
Spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ constitute of:-
1. Present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is our spiritual worship. 12:1).
2. Giving to God the sacrifice of praise, that is the words of our mouths. Giving thanks in Jesus' name.13:15).
3. Offer right sacrifices and trust in the Lord.4:5).
4. The prayers of the saints is figurative to the burning of incense.5:8; Isa.66:3).
5. In recognition of his goodness, a gift from our hands, especially on the days he has set aside to appear before him. It is stated, "Three times in a year all your men shall appear before the Lord your God.” - And they shall not appear before the Lord empty handed (Exo.23:15; Deut. 16:16).
Spiritual sacrifices are presented to the Father in a holy, perfect, blameless, irreproachable state, by the offering of the body and blood of Jesus Christ to the Father for the remission of our sins.
The apostle Paul directed our attention to this by saying, "I speak as to men of wisdom; judge for yourselves what I say. The cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks, is it not the sharing of the blood of Christ? the bread which we break, is it not the mutual relation of the body of Christ? For we being many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread" (1Cor. 10:15-17).
Sinful mortal man cannot offer him/herself to the Father as a perfect acceptable offering, unless Jesus Christ as the High priest, first make an atonement on our behalf. "For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. It is necessary for Jesus Christ as High priest to have something to offer.It is the ordaind duty of every high priest taken from among men, to offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins, and things pertaining to God.8:3;5:1).
Christian unity is possible, but only when the true spiritual sacrifice is offered, and true worship of God according to his word is restored. Until this is done, there can be no Christian unity, unless they are forced to adhere and comply with laws that are contrary to the will of God.

Activities Self Esteem Children
As parents, one of the main things we need to do is boost up and build our children’s self-esteem level. Teaching our kids to value themselves and their talents can be a tricky thing to do. Parents must be able to achieve a balance between allowing their kids enough independence to be able to decide for themselves and act on their own, and showing the guidance that will keep them in the right path.
Being too lax and giving them too much freedom can lead to rebellion while being too strict can destroy a child’s independent spirit and foster too much dependence.
Self-esteem can be encouraged and developed anytime in a persons life, that is why it’s always good to begin early with your children, so they will learn to trust in their abilities and talents. There are several things that parents can do to help develop a healthy self-esteem in their children.
1. Teach self-affirming statements
Have them stand in front of a mirror and say what a great person they are, or you can begin for them as they look at themselves in the mirror, until they get comfortable doing it by themselves. It may seem childish, but it works, and even some adults do it in order to boost their confidence for the upcoming day or event. You don’t have to continue with it, if is seems to be something they are not feel comfortable with. Or you, can create your own as long as you stick to the basic, which is the saying words that are used in building self-esteem.
Create a mantra that your child can easily remember, one that goes to a familiar tune they already know. When they get up in the morning, you can sing the mantra to your child and have them sing one to you. The mantra should be about each other; such as saying I love you in the morning or telling each other how great the other is.
You can be creative, by showing your love and acceptance you can never go wrong. Feel free to come up with even more songs, or poems; as long as they encourage your child in what makes them so special.
2. Playing the Positive Traits Game
Another activity that you can do with your child, that will not only boost their self-esteem, but also help in building his or her vocabulary, is the positive trait game. In this game, you will each tell each other the positive traits that one sees in the other. What makes this game fun, is that the positive trait must begin with a certain letter of the alphabet.
This is a fantastic way to get your child to focus on their positive attributes and talents, and then speak out on what they think make him or her unique and special. This is also a great way to make sure that he or she will grow up knowing where his or her strengths lie.
3. Find Activities they Enjoy Doing
Encourage them to try out new things so that they will discover their talents and abilities. One great way to do this, is through summer programs, where they have all kinds of things for kids to do. For instance, if he is good with drawing and crayons, it does not mean that he will not be good in music. It’s ok if they don’t like something at first, you may just need to encourage them to try it for a few more weeks to make sure.
Anyhow, if he does not like it, at least he has learned something new. Helping them discover the things that they love to do and the things that they are good at is a great way to boost your childs self esteem in the younger years of life. After all, when children are enjoying what they are doing, they become very enthusiastic and they are open to developing their skills further.

Christmas Can Be Stressful
The holidays can bring a lot of fun and happiness, but along comes stress as well. Yearly, I have to go through the stress of this festive season. Sometimes for me, I see Christmas just like the usual depressing and happiest holiday of the year. Why? Because it makes me think about something that I haven’t achieve for this whole year, and another year is about to come and make me struggle to get into that goal. It’s the fact of having a baby, is the thing that is so depressing for me. My husband Labron, just always keep it cool for me and make sure that I don’t think about it too often during these times. Everything down to picking up my new upside down christmas tree stresses me out!
I always believe though that maybe it’s the only time of this year that I get to notice some of the things I don’t possibly have, that’s why I go to this some sort of Christmas stress. But things actually turn better when eve comes. I get to see people I don’t always see often, especially my parents, since they live in New Orleans and we are in the state of California, and even my nieces and nephews. Although sometimes we don’t encourage them to visit us during Christmas because I know they have other plans on this occasion.
Due to everything, I try to do a few things I've learned over the years to distract myself. Often I try to look into the future and write down everything I need to get done for Christmas day. My hubby tries his hardest to help me by making suggestions on how we can stretch our dollars even further during the holiday seasons. And next year we are hoping to spend Christmas abroad, at least that could be a less stressful for us. I look forward to things I have coming that will bring me pure enjoyment, for example I have my chandelier christmas tree.

We all manage stress differently
We all manage stress differently and some of us fail to manage stress and suffer physical symptoms because of that failure. Coping mechanisms should be something taught to us the same way that other skills for life are taught during high school or college. We can learn skills that will help us to reduce, prevent or to cope with stress as it presents at home, work or school.
One way to cope is to plan strategies to prevent or avoid those things that have caused stress in the past. Avoiding stress may include having the ability to say "no" to personal and professional added responsibilities over an above what is normally expected of us, and by avoiding those individuals who tend to stress us out and by taking control of the environment in which we live, work and if applicable go to school. If hearing about terrible news stresses us out we can avoid reading the newspapers or turn off the news on the TV. In relationships we can avoid those topics that usually start arguments. We can also rearrange daily tasks or delegate responsibilities so that our "to-do list" doesn't stress us out.
Incorporate fun and relaxation into your daily routine, practice saying "no" so that you don't over-commit yourself of your time or abilities, of the tasks that you do accept make sure that you prioritize the tasks that you do accept, when possible break down these tasks into smaller projects and then reward yourself for completing each smaller segment and lastly, learn how to delegate responsibility and supervise so that you are not stressing over whether or not it was done right.
You can also learn how to accept things that you cannot change by trying not to control those things that are not in your control. Look for the positive in all things. Share how you feel with others. The art of forgiveness should be practiced. Anger and resentment will only harden you and create negative energy that binds you to stress.
