Become More Confident With These 7 Simple Tips

If your self confidence level could be laid out in full on your little fingernail, check out these 7 easy self confidence tips:

1. Take a short, sharp walk

Confident people are often in a hurry, so the logic on this is that you'll feel more important as you dash around. Your faster walking will also increase your overall energy levels as you won't be giving yourself the chance to just stroll along.

2. Stand up straight

Yeah. Sounds a bit glib. But check it for yourself now. Stoop and face the floor - notice how you feel more "down" almost instantly? Now stand tall and tilt your head slightly upwards. Allow yourself to smile. Feel more alive?

3. Dress yourself smarter

Sure, the "dress to impress" slogan is well worn (excuse the pun). But if you're wearing smarter, cleaner clothes you'll begin to feel more confident.

4. Express your gratitude for things

You don't have to say a prayer of thanks, unless that fits your religious beliefs. Simply express your gratitude more regularly. This can be for anything - your surroundings through to your friends, being free from disease or anything else you want to be grateful for. You can be grateful vocally or just "think" your gratitude.

5. Compliment people

Although this isn't the main aim, you'll probably get complimented back. Regardless of other people's reaction to this, you'll watch the negative energy around you melt away and you'll envelop yourself in a more positive attitude.

6. Sit at the front

If you sit at the back of an auditorium, lecture or whatever then you're telling your subconscious that you want to fade into the background. Move to the front row - it's probably almost empty. Dare yourself to be asked a question and have the confidence to answer it!

7. Join in conversations

If you normally hate to join in a conversation, have your say every now and then. Most people will be happy for you to join in the conversation (or at least won't shout you down for a minute or two) and you'll begin to boost your self confidence.
