Forunately it's not a frequent occurrence that we have to strip off all our clothes and be naked. But there are occasions when you have no choice, for example, in the communal shower after a game of hockey with your team. And, of course, when you want to spend some quality time alone with your partner.
So what can you do if the very thought of being in the nude with other people fills you with dread?
1. Practice being naked when you're alone
There's a good chance that the mere thought of being naked and vulnerable is the main cause of your phobia. So, when you're alone and unlikely to be disturbed, lock the bedroom door, close the curtains and strip naked. Don't get self conscious about this - simply take off your clothes the exact same way that you'd do if you were getting ready to take a shower or a bath. Then wander around the room and begin to get accustomed to not wearing any clothes. Congratluations! You've taken your first step to becoming more comfortable with yourself when you're not protected by clothes and losing your shyness of being naked.
2. Recognize that you're not different
If you're a member of the human race, you're going to be similar to around half the humans on the planet. You could be a few inches shorter or taller than others. Your weight is likely a few pounds different. But fundamentally, you're either a man or a woman and you're very similar to almost every other man or woman in the world. Whilst this may not alay your fear, it may help you to start to rationalize your phobia.
3. Get some help
One of the fastest ways to get over your being naked fear is to get some help. And one of the best ways to do this is to use a specially constructed hypnosis track to overcome your phobia of being naked. It's inexpensive, you can listen to it over again, it's 100% discreet and it really does work. Find out more about using hypnosis to overcome your worry of being naked here.
